CIRP 2010 Pisa: un successo tutto italiano
Il 60-esimo Congresso del CIRP, Accademia Internazionale di Ingegneria della Produzione (http://www.cirp.net), si è svolto a Pisa dal 22 al 28 Agosto (http://www.cirp2010.it), dopo 2004 Cracovia (Polonia), 2005 Antalya (Turchia), 2006 Kobe (Giappone), 2007 Dresda (Germania), 2008 Manchester (Regno Unito), 2009 Boston (USA) e a cui seguiranno 2011 Budapest (Ungheria) e 2012 Hong Kong (Cina).
Ben 500 delegati da 31 paesi (un record di presenze!) hanno affollato il moderno polo didattico Porta Nuova, di cui circa una cinquantina italiani. Tradizionalmente, le cinque sessioni scientifiche parallele dal lunedì al mercoledì (tra cui una dozzina di lavori di membri AITEM) sono state seguite da sessioni tecniche il giovedì e venerdì e dalle riunioni dei diversi organi il sabato.
Come ogni tre anni si è preceduto anche alla rielezione dei presidenti e vice, tra cui il prof. Paolo Bariani (Forming) dell'Università di Padova e il prof. Roberto Teti (Production Systems and Organizations), degli 11 comitati tecnico-scientifici (STC) per aree disciplinari che rappresentano l'ossatura fondamentale del CIRP.
L'organizzazione del convegno per le "nozze di diamante" del CIRP (fondato nel 1951), durata quasi tre anni, è stata affidata ai prof. Marco Santochi e Gino Dini dell'Università di Pisa in qualità di presidente e vicepresidente del comitato organizzativo nazionale, che ha compreso gli altri membri (fellows) italiani: Alessandro Balsamo, Paolo Bariani, Luigi Galantucci, Francesco Jovane, Raffaello Levi, Pietro Lonardo, Fabrizio Micari, Sergio Noto La Diega, Roberto Teti, Tullio Tolio, ai quali quest'anno si è aggiunto il prof. Alessandro Bruzzone dell'Università di Genova. La recente scomparsa del prof. Nicola Alberti è stata commemorata dal prof. Micari durante l'assemblea generale.
All’apertura della manifestazione al Teatro Verdi di Pisa, dopo il saluto del presidente del CIRP e del prof. Santochi in qualità di chairman, il prof. Francesco Jovane del Politecnico di Milano ha parlato dell’approccio italiano al trinomio arte-scienza-cultura, seguito da un immancabile ed emozionante intermezzo lirico. I keynote paper presentati nella sessione plenaria (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/00078506) hanno riguardato: il prodotto/servizio industriale, l’evoluzione del paradigma prodotto/processo/sistema industriale, le superfiniture e i processi ultraprecisi in ambito astronomico e gravitazionale, la nanofabbricazione.
Il saluto della città da parte dell'assessore ai rapporti con l'università è giunto nella cornice della fortezza Scotto la sera di Lunedì 23 agosto, allietata da una rassegna video sul CIRP dell'ultimo decennio preparata dal prof. Pietro Lonardo dell'Università di Genova.
Il CIRP si era già svolto a Pisa/Torino 40 anni fa nel lontano 1970 e si è tenuto in Italia già 6 volte. Il CIRP è stato presieduto dal prof. Carro Cao dell'Università di Pisa nel 1971, oltre ai proff. Raffaello Levi e Francesco Jovane, presenti a Pisa e al prof. Gian Federico Micheletti.
Ai prof. Santochi e Dini si sono affiancati un membro associato, il prof. Michele Lanzetta, e un research affiliate, l’ing. Gualtiero Fantoni insieme agli ingg. Franco Failli e Luca Romoli e dieci tra laureandi e dottorandi del Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica, Nucleare e della Produzione dell'Università di Pisa di cui è stata molto apprezzato l'entusiasmo e la disponibilità.
Anche il numero di 120 partecipanti al programma accompagnatori è stato ben superiore alla media. Il comitato organizzativo del programma sociale era composto dalle signore: Silvia Balsamo, Silvia Dini, Eliana Galantucci, Elvira Teruzzi, Silvia Levi, Maristella Lonardo, Giovanna Micari, Fiorella Santochi, Nunzia Teti, Elena Maria Tolio.
In tutti i momenti ufficiali della settimana è stato sottolineato a più riprese il successo tutto italiano del convegno e continuano a giungere messaggi di apprezzamento per l'ottimo livello dell'organizzazione.
Al termine della settimana, la Presidenza annuale del CIRP è passata dal prof. Gerry Byrne della Dublin City University (Irlanda) al prof. Fred Van Houten dell'Università di Twente (Olanda) ed è stato proclamato Presidente per il 2013 lo stesso prof. Marco Santochi dell'Università di Pisa.
Alla cerimonia di saluto di Sabato 28 al Ristorante Principino sulla spiaggia di Viareggio hanno partecipato anche il prof. Luigi Carrino in qualità di Presidente dell'Aitem e il prof. Fabrizio Micari come Presidente del coordinamento della Meccanica Fredda, sostenitori del convegno, patrocinato dall’Università di Pisa e dal Comune di Pisa. Dal Teatro Verdi al Giardino Scotto: in 700 alla prima giornata del Congresso ingegneristico “CIRP 2010”
Una folla cosmopolita di 700 persone da 31 paesi ha affollato il Teatro Verdi per partecipare alla sessione plenaria che ha segnato l’inizio dei lavori del congresso dell’Accademia Internazionale di Ingegneria della Produzione (CIRP). E’ iniziata così una settimana di lavori che vedrà impegnati i circa 500 membri del CIRP fino a sabato, in una serie di sessioni che si terranno al Polo Porta Nuova, nei pressi di Piazza dei Miracoli, quindi in posizione strategica per favorire anche la conoscenza dei monumenti della città da parte di una gruppo così nutrito di visitatori “speciali” e dei loro accompagnatori, compresi rappresentanti di moltissime aziende.
Secondo il professor Marco Santochi, uno dei 13 fellows del CIRP in Italia, direttore del dipartimento di Ingegneria meccanica, nucleare e della produzione e chairman del Congresso, “una inaugurazione così partecipata ci ripaga dell’impegno che abbiamo messo nel corso dell’organizzazione, ed è anche un riconoscimento per la qualità delle ricerche su cui lavoriamo nel dipartimento e nella facoltà di Ingegneria. I temi in discussione qui a Pisa si possono riassumere in tre grandi filoni: dalle microtecnologie, con particolare attenzione all’ambito biomedico, al cosiddetto processo di prototipazione rapida fino al bilancio energetico dei processi produttivi in modo da realizzare produzioni sempre più sostenibili”.
“Siamo molto soddisfatti anche dell’ampia partecipazione di grosse aziende – aggiunge Gino Dini, responsabile della sezione Produzione del dipartimento di Ingegneria della produzione - ormai le ricerche svolte all’interno dell’università sono sempre più vicine al mondo dell’industria che chiede applicazioni a basso impatto energetico e ambientale”.
