500 membri dell’Accademia Internazionale di Ingegneria della Produzione (CIRP) riuniti a Pisa
Patrocinato dall’Università e dall’Amministrazione comunale, il congresso si svolgerà dal 22 al 28 agosto
Nel 60° anniversario dalla sua fondazione nel 1951, l’Accademia Internazionale di Ingegneria della Produzione (CIRP) riunirà i suoi circa 500 membri a Pisa, dal 22 al 28 agosto. Il programma della settimana è stato accuratamente predisposto nel corso degli ultimi due anni con il patrocinio dell’Università di Pisa e del Comune di Pisa e il contributo di sponsor quali Sammontana, Unicredit, Continental, Gherardini, Ferraioli, eTalon, Shaefer, VAR group, Quinn e ITIA CNR.
L’apertura della manifestazione avverrà domenica 22 al Teatro Verdi con l’intervento del professor Francesco Jovane del Politecnico di Milano dedicato all’approccio italiano al trinomio arte-scienza-cultura, seguito dal presidente del CIRP professor Gerry Byrne dell’Università di Dublino (Irlanda), dal professor Marco Santochi in qualità di chairman e da un intermezzo lirico. Il saluto della città da parte del sindaco Marco Filippeschi è previsto in un apposito ricevimento nella cornice del Giardino Scotto la sera del 23 agosto.
Il programma comprende presentazioni scientifiche e tecniche su tematiche altamente innovative e di frontiera in ambito produttivo, tenute nel moderno polo Didattico di Porta Nuova, come dettagliato nel sito ufficiale http://www.cirp2010.it. Tra le tecnologie emergenti di cui si parlerà nella sessione plenaria quelle relative al prodotto/servizio industriale, all’evoluzione del paradigma prodotto/processo/sistema industriale, alle superfiniture e ai processi ultraprecisi in ambito astronomico e gravitazionale, alla nanofabbricazione.
CIRP è l’acronimo francese di College International pour la Recherche en Productique, recentemente e più propriamente ribattezzato International Academy for Production Engineering. L’organizzazione leader mondiale nella ricerca nel settore dell’ingegneria della produzione fu già ospitata a Pisa 40 anni fa, nel lontano 1970. I soci (fellows) vengono selezionati sulla base di una dimostrata eccellenza nella ricerca in ambito accademico, ma sono presenti anche 140 soci industriali di altissimo livello, tra cui Pratt&Whitney, PSA, Renault, Snecma, BMW, Daimler Chrysler, Robert Bosch, Siemens, Comau, MCM, Fanuc, Hitachi, Ricoh, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Philips, SKF, Kistler, Rolls Royce, Caterpillar, General Motors, Saint Gobain, Boeing. La finalità del CIRP è di promuovere la ricerca cooperativa nell’ingegneria della produzione, contribuendo alla crescita, allo sviluppo globale e al benessere della società attraverso un alto livello di networking tra eminenti scienziati e industrie avanzate. A questo scopo si riunisce ogni anno per una settimana ad agosto in un paese diverso: 2004 Cracovia (Polonia), 2005 Antalya (Turchia), 2006 Kobe (Giappone), 2007 Dresda (Germania), 2008 Manchester (Regno Unito), 2009 Boston (USA) e sarà nel 2011 ad Hong Kong (Cina). E’ presente con delegazioni in 40 paesi. In Italia esistono 13 fellows. I due dell’Università di Pisa, il professor Santochi, direttore del Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica, Nucleare e della Produzione, e il professor Gino Dini, hanno presieduto il comitato organizzatore, insieme ad un membro associato, il professor Michele Lanzetta, e un research affiliate, l’ingegner Gualtiero Fantoni.
